SUSANNA

Susanna Sivonen is known as a multi-talented designer and an artist with passion for colours and special details. Her design company was founded in Sweden in 2010. She is one of the most versatile Scandinavian design talents and artists as she creates everything from unique live art sessions to patterns known of surprising details. She has designed collections for leading Scandinavian design and fashion brands such as Finlayson, R-Collection and Aarikka and her unique artwork has been part of international exhibitions. In addition to her design collaborations and art projects, she has launched the Susanna Sivonen brand to develop beautiful products with a very specific touch of her artistic style.

Susanna Sivonen was born in 1984 in Haparanda, in Northern Sweden, and lives and works in Oulu, Finland. As a mother of four energetic kids with a hectic daily life, her art is full of joyful details and lovely humour. She also enjoys creating symbolic art that contemplates deeper emotions and feelings in a realistic and layered way. She is inspired by the cycle of nature, plants and animals. Having grown up in Scandinavia, the cold and darkness of the North, and the changing colors and scents naturally
flow onto paper instinctively in Susanna’s work.
